The U.S. Department of Agriculture increased the share of the Dominican Republic in the U.S. preferential market. The quota was increased by 35,736 metric tons. The additional raw sugar exports will be undertaken by the State Sugar Council (18,216.24 metric tons); the Central Romana (14,294.40 metric tons); and the Grupo Vicini (3,216.24 metric tons). This is in addition to the quota that had been set for this year of 196,878 metric tons.
