The municipality of Santo Domingo began a massive effort to rid the city of electoral propaganda. Municipality workers combed the principal avenues and streets of Santo Domingo taking down the hundreds of posters that were posted by candidates for the 1998 municipal and congressional elections. The clean-up job will give a new lighter air to the city.
