The National Theater announces the presentation of "Gran Baile de la Opera," which will bring together the National Symphony Orchestra, under the conduction of Maestro José Antonio Molina. Molina, a Dominican, directed the concert of Gloria Estefan in the Vatican, and was the principal arranger for the concert, "Pavarotti and Friends for War Children," held in Italy in 1996. Also performing in the event are U.S. soprano Ana María Martínez, Dominican tenor Juan Cuevas, Ballet Concierto Dominicano (with Carlos Veitía), and the operatic choir of Fernando Geraldes, all directed by Maestro Pablo Cabrera. Also present in this Ballet Opera de las Americas will be Olivera Mijakovic.
