Hatuey Decamps, secretary general of the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano, became the third aspirant to the presidential candidacy of the PRD to formalize his candidacy by registering his credentials and making a payment of RD$100,000. Milagros Ortíz Bosch and Hipólito Mejía have also registered their aspirations to be the PRD presidential candidate in the year 2000 elections.
