Seven companies interested in investing in state flour mills

Seven companies presented their credentials to participate in the privatization process of the 50% of the shares of Molinos Dominicanos and Molinos del Norte, two state-owned flour mills. The new company will be known as Molinos del Ozama. Participating in the tender are: Seaboard Corporation, Continental Grain, ADM Milling Co., Pan American Grain, Conagra Inc., Casa Ureña C. por A., and Malla y Cía. The credentials of the companies are evaluated by the Comisión de Reforma de la Empresa Pública, the state organization in charge of the Dominican state enterprises privatization process. The company’s are reviewed by Antonio Isa Conde, president of the organization, Eduardo Selman, director of the Corporación Dominicana de Empresas Estatales; Martha González, executive director of the CREP; commissioners George Manuel Hazoury and Gabriel del Río; and the administrators of Molinos del Norte y Dominicanos, Ramón Cabrera and Ramón Taveras, respectively.
