Spanish painter Jos? Vela Zanetti died yesterday at the age of 86 in the Hospital Yague in Burgos, Spain. The Spanish mural painter was recognized by the Medalla de Oro del Centenario de la Rep?blica Dominicana and decorated with the order of Crist?bal Col?n. He painted murals in the Bas?lica Nuestra Se?ora de la Altagracia in Higuey, in the Instituto Polit?cnico Loyola in San Crist?bal, and in several public institution buildings during the many years he resided in the DR.
