The Director-General of the Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET), Hamlet Hermann, announced yesterday the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Manuel Santamar?a Fondeur as the Commandant of the Metropolitan Police. Santamar?a, who had been number two at the Metropolitan Police, replaced Colonel Bienvenido D’Oleo Moreta, who is returning to the National Police (PN) to be its new head of the Personnel Department.
