Business and labor unions to work together on new wage policy

The presidents of the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP), the leading business organization, and the Nacional Council of Unions (CNUS), the leading union organization, yesterday signed an agreement whereby they will work together to reach a consensus on a wage increase for this year. The agreement of the business and labor communities coincides with the call for strike by a labor union that represents primarily public transport unit owners. The organizations rejected the call to strike.
