The Sammy Sosa Foundation announced it has plans to provide free immunizations to 50,000 children and youths next year. The three-year plan is being created with the collaboration of the Ministry of Health of the DR, the US Agency of International Development and the Centers for Disease Control. Foundation officials have announced they will be developing a network of clinics throughout the Dominican Republic. The focus of the clinics is on preventative medicine.
