The National Police clarified that it is not true that the eight-year-old baby girl that died in El Tamarindo had been raped. The autopsy to the baby showed she had died from malnutrition and a severe anal infection. There were no signs of rape. The baby was found dead on the floor of her El Tamarindo shack in the Santo Domingo slum. The Police had released an earlier version indicating that she had been raped. Her father was suspect.
