The developing world surprised the European Union, the United States and Japan when attending the World Trade Organization well prepared. DR negotiators lead alliances with African, Caribbean, Asian and Latin American countries and took to the Seattle Ministerial World Trade Organization meeting a unified front to defy the world’s richest nations deciding their futures without consulting them.
