65% of Dominicans have a good opinion of the work of the Junta Central Electoral, the body in charge of organizing the presidential, municipal and congressional elections in the DR, according to a recent Hamilton & Staff-Hoy newspaper poll that took place during the first week of March. The survey also showed that 81% of the voters are in favor of international observers coming for the presidential election scheduled to take place on 16 May 2000.
