Deputy Minister of Public Works Leonel Carrasco said that the new track & field and Olympic Stadium remodeling works are well advanced. He said the stadium should be ready for reopening in two months time. A new track is being installed at a cost of US$580,000. It was imported from Italy. The track will also have underground access, said engineer Carrasco. He said that work is also advanced on the construction of the adjacent warm-up track.
