Thirty-year old Laura Mallén was appointed general manager of Continental Airlines in the Dominican Republic. Continental has daily flights to Newark, New Jersey from Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata airports. Her appointment is effective Monday, 3 April. Prior to her promotion, she was the airline’s reservations manager. Mallén has been with the airline for more than 10 years. She began her career with the airline industry with Eastern Airlines.
