The Dominican Republic formally presented the candidacy of Dominican diplomat Homero Luis Hernandez Sánchez for the post of Adjunct Secretary General of the Organization of American States. The election will be held in June of this year at the 30th General Assembly meeting of the OAS. Hernández has more than 30 years working in international relations. He has been permanent adjunct secretary of the Sistema Económico de Latinoamérica (SELA). At present, he holds a high ranking supervisory post in the United Nations based in the Geneva, Switzerland.
