The Municipality of Santiago administrative personnel received May pay checks with 70% increases. Hoy newspaper reports that the measure benefits those in higher up posts, not the whole municipality personnel. Mayor Hector Grullon Moronta (PRD) had complained recently that the Santiago city government allotment was not enough to keep the city clean.
