President Leonel Fernández appointed yesterday the members of the transition team. These are Secretary of the Presidency Alejandrina Germán; Minister of Finance Daniel Toribio; Administrative Secretary of the Presidency, Simón Lizardo; Minister of Agriculture Amilcar Romero; Planning Director Rafael Camilo; Controller Haivanjoe Ng Cortiñas. The commission is created to assist the new authorities with the information needed during the transition from the Fernández to the Mejía government that starts 16 August 2000.
