The Chamber of Deputies passed the bill that prohibits smoking in public places nationwide. The bill now passes to the Senate. PRD deputies Ernesto Fabre, Manuel Hazoury and Octavio Rodriguez Jimenez introduced it. The Hotel & Restaurant Association that has implemented a program whereby restaurants have segregated smoking and non-smoking areas oppose it.
