Radhamés Segura, administrator of the state electricity utility, says that power outages that now last 12 hours will be considerably reduced this month. He says that 400 megawatts are scheduled to enter the system this month. This could reduce outages to four-hours a day. The present nationwide deficit is about 500 megawatts. Demand is 1,500 megawatts. The plants expected to go on line within the next six weeks are: Itabo, with 100 megawatts Unión Fenosa, 100 megawatts Boca Chica barge, 100 megawatts Timbeque I, 15 megawatts Timbeque II, 15 megawatts Los Mina II, 21 megawatts Laesa, 57 megawatts Haina IV with 70 megawatts
