President-elect Hipólito Mejía visited Radhames Segura, administrator of the Dominican Electricity Corporation yesterday at the latter’s Mirador del Norte home. Engineer César Sánchez whom he has said will replace Segura accompanied him. He said it was a courtesy visit to a government official whom he understands has done a good job. He wanted to know Segura’s opinion on the capitalization process of the CDE. Segura has many times held conflicting positions with the Commission for the Reform of Public Enterprises on the privatization of the state utility.
