Residents of La Romana, 35-year old pilot Blenny Azcona, died in the crash, and passenger Porfirio Manuel Richiez, was severely injured. The accident occurred at 1 pm near Hole 10 of the Teeth of the Dog golf course of La Romana. The airplane took off from the airport enroute to Herrera Airport in Santo Domingo.
