Hospitals get incinerators

Hospital waste incinerators are being installed at seven of the leading public hospitals in the country. A US$40 million World Bank to the public health sector includes the financing for the project. The Spanish company, Omfesa sold and is installing the incinerators. The incinerators are being installed at the Maternidad Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia, Centro Sanitario Materno Infantil San Lorenzo de los Mina, Hospital Infantil Robert Reid Cabral, Luis Eduardo Aybar and Francisco Moscoso Puello in Santo Domingo. Also, in the Jaime Mota in Barahona and the Pascasio Toribio Piantini in Salcedo.
