The board of directors of the Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (INDOTEL), the organization that rules telecommunications, ordered an investigation to determine the radio stations, cable television, television and telecommunications services that are operating illegally. In resolution 5-00, Indotel says that in the next few days provisional suspensions of concessions, licenses and authorizations to companies that are operating in violation of the General Law of Telecommunications.
