Hoy newspaper reports on the raids of local jails during which drugs have been confiscated. In a raid yesterday to the San Francisco de Macoris jail, Army men found 1,244 portions of crack, 284 portions of marijuana and 19 grams of cocaine. These drugs were found inside television sets. In Najayo, San Cristobal, the Police arrested a 38-year old woman who introduced two bunches of marijuana and a portion of crack. In Santiago, the DNCD recently found 39 portions of marijuana and three pipes for crack consumption. In the raid, 13 cellulars and several knives were confiscated.
