President Leonel Fernández’s father, José Antonio Fernández Collado arrived yesterday from Panama on board an air ambulance. The plane flew into the San Isidro Military Air Base. The President’s 68-year old father was hospitalized in Panama, after suffering two consecutive heart attacks. Shortly after, he was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Plaza de la Salud at 2:30 pm. Fernández Collado was living in Panama where his son after being appointed consul general by his son.
