Congress passed the bill that bans smoking in public places. The same bill prohibits the selling cigarettes and cigars to persons less than 18 years old and regulates tobacco product advertising. The bill also establishes that smoking is banned in closed areas, public transport vehicles and on national and international flights while they are in Dominican air space. The bill now passes on to the Executive Branch for final approval.
