Moya Pons announces planting of 100 million trees

Historian Frank Moya Pons, appointed Minister of Environment in the new government that starts 16 August, said he will spearhead plans to plant 100 million fruit and forest trees in the next four years. He spoke during the first anniversary of the Asociación Nacional de Profesionales Forestales. At the event, Paino Abreu said that the successful Plan Nacional Quisqueya Verde implemented by the present government succeeded in planting 26 million trees.
