Santo Domingo will host the World Bowling Championship (Sub-23) 28 October to 14 November. The president of the World Bowling Association, Dr. P. S. Nathan is visiting Santo Domingo for meetings with the local organizers of the event. The event will take place at the Sebelen Bowling Center and more than 30 countries are expected. The DR was chosen when several competitors refused to travel to Colombia, original site of the event. (2 August 2000)
