The Dominican Olympic Committee announced that 27 persons, of which 13 will be athletes, will make up the DR delegation to the world games. The DR will participate in four sports. Participants are: Felix Sanchez, Yeolin Santa (track and field); Wanda Rijo, Guillermina Candelario, Playter Reyes (weight-lifting), Jose Vicbart Geraldino, Jose Augusto Geraldino, Elocadia Vargas, Juan Carlos Jacinto, Jose Eugenio Vasquez (judo), and Yovanny Lorenzo, Jerson Ravelo and Jose Cabrera (boxing). Hector Duval is the chief of the Dominican mission.
