On 16 August at the Congress, he will hand over power but the protocol does not include an address by the former President. At that ceremony, President-elect Hipólito Mejía will address the nation following the speech of the president of the Senate. News reports say that President-elect Hipólito Mejía is scheduled to give a press conference for international press today at 7 pm from the Hotel Santo Domingo.
