TV person to head Rosario Dominicana

President Hipólito Mejía appointed Mario Peña as the new president of Rosario Dominicana, one of the largest gold mines in the Americas. The mine is at the present time closed after a tender process organized by Salomon Brothers was aborted. Peña replaces General Antonio Imbert Barrera who was appointed inspector general of the Armed Forces. Mario Peña is a former director of the Color Visión Television Station (Channel 9).
