Son of Peña Gómez expelled from party founded by his father

The Executive Committee of the Bloque Institucional Social Demócrata (BIS) announced the expelling of José Francisco Peña Guaba. Peña Guaba is the son of party founder, José Francisco Peña Gómez, the late leader of the PRD. The BIS said it was expelling Peña Guaba, who supported the PLD candidate during the 2000 presidential campaign, for violating the party’s by laws, by carrying out unilateral negotiations, supposedly to gain wealth. They unauthorized him to speak in name of the organization. The expelling is related to his supposed inadequate distribution of "pollito" cars, the yellow cabs distributed at the end of the PLD administration.
