Ramon Prieto Vicioso is the new president of the National Hotel & Restaurant Association. Prieto was chosen president of the leading travel organization on 9 August. Prieto is vice president and co-owner of the Hotel Portillo Beach Resort, and president of the tour operator and travel agency, Prieto Tours. Prieto has presided over the Dominican Association of Travel Agencies (ADAVIT), the Dominican Chamber of Tour Operators (Cadotur) and is founder of the Association of Tour Operators (Opetur). Other board members are Ventura Serra of Occidental Hoteles; José Ramón Martínez of Coral Hoteles; Johnny Bernal of Hotelera Naco and Simón Súarez of Coral Hoteles.
