Hoy newspaper reports that to tell from the bookings already made on airlines flying the New York-Santo Domingo route, this year will set a new record in December arrivals. Hoy newspaper says that AA and TWA has almost all their seats taken. Ditto could be said for Continental Airlines. Holiday season tickets to the DR usually go for upwards of US$600, but those who booked early were able to take advantage of special fares offered by the airlines. US Airways will be the newcomer on the block, with its flights from several US eastern cities starting 12 November, and Northwest also announced the restart of its winter flight to the DR and will be flying in from Minneapolis and Detroit.
