President announces completion major works in Santiago

In a government session held on Sunday in Santiago, President Hipólito Mejía ordered the completion of major works underway in Santiago, the second largest city. Among these: the Santiago-Navarrette highway, the San José de las Matas-Santiago highway and the Avenida de Circunvalación Norte. He promised his hometown, Gurabo that the government would start immediately the construction of a high school, apartment complex and cemetery. Mejía announced that the government would invest more than RD$400 million in government works in Santiago.
