Expo Europe 2000 opens today at the Convention Center of the Dominican Fiesta Hotel. The exhibition starts today at 6 pm and ends on Sunday, 8 October. Several business talks are programmed, including one by leading local bankers and visiting international bankers on the European currency that is programmed for Friday, 6 October at 11 am. Highlight of the trade exhibition are the gourmet tasting events that are scheduled for 1 pm and 7 pm sponsored by several European product companies in the DR. During Expo Europe, the Dominican-French Chamber of Commerce will present its new doing business guide. The Federation of European Chambers of Commerce in the Dominican Republic organizes the event.
