Mega constructions announced by Mejía administration

The Listín Diario reports that the Mejía government will initiate the construction of the Santo Domingo-Samaná, San Pedro-Punta Cana, Monte Cristi-Puerto Plata highways. Also on the list is the construction of a major aqueduct in the Northwest that will supply water to the provinces of Dajabón, Monte Cristi, Valverde and Santiago Rodríguez. The announcement was made by Secretary of the Presidency Sergio Grullón while visiting the Santo Domingo Cyberpark to deliver a payment for its advancing. Grullón said the government has plans to build a major port in the Manzanillo, an excellent natural port located in the Northwest. He said the port would have capacity to handle freight traffic and cruise ships. As per the report in the Listín Diario he spoke of the construction of a sewage plant, liquid gas plant with capacity to generate 300 megawatts and of 1,000 homes of 60 square meters each for Manzanillo.
