Attorney General Virgilio Bello Rosa said that Judge Modesto Martínez of the Eighth Penal Chamber left without effect the summons for Police Chief Pedro de Jesús Candelier to appear in court to answer questions. He was being required to explain why several persons were kept in jail when they had not been charged. Bello Rosa said that the persons were released, and thus the case is closed.
