Former PRSC La Altagracia senator, Amable Aristy Castro was confirmed in his post as secretary general of the Dominican Municipal League (LMD). The Chamber of Accounts thus ratifies the electoral results of the LMD general assembly of 26 January 1999. The position of head of the LMD is coveted because that department determines when and how much each municipality will receive from the 4% National Budget allotment assigned to city governments.
