The Monetary Junta relaxed restrictions on money in circulation. The board authorizes the freeing of the ceiling to lending established in March and ratified on 22 August for another 60 days. It also authorized the redeeming of 50% of the investment in Certificados de Tesorería con Pacto de Recompra (Repos). The measures are expected to inject RD$500 million into the economy in time for Christmas sales.
