The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hugo Tolentino Dipp, announced that diplomatic passports still in the hands of personnel of the Fernandez administration must be turned in. An investigation will be conducted to determine which ex-officials still retain their diplomatic passports. Some diplomatic passports also remain in the hands of private parties, according to Tolentino Dipp. Dominican law provides that only the President can determine who is entitled to a diplomatic passport.
