Pharmaceuticals to be banned from local pharmacies

The Ministry of Public Health is expected to release tomorrow the official list of pharmaceuticals containing phenylpropanolamine (PPA) that will be banned from local pharmacies due to new recommendations that they may be harmful to human health. An initial list released by the Ministry met with denials from pharmaceutical distributors (Bronchochem, Sinutab and Mucox) who said their drugs did not contain PPA.
