On occasion of the visit of leading board members that came accompanying the King of Spain, Unión Fenosa announced the incorporating of leading Dominican businessmen into the division of the company that is installing power plants in the DR. Businessmen José L. Corripio, Ramon Báez Figueroa, Jesus Barderas, Pedro Castillo and Abraham Hazoury were said to have joined Unión Fenosa Generación.
