President Mejía travels to Panama for Summit

President Hipólito Mejía traveled today to Panama to participate in the X Iberoamerican Summit of Heads of State and Government. The event is an initiative of the King and Queen of Spain. 22 heads of state and government from Latin America, Portugal and Spain will participate. President Mejía is traveling with the Minister of Foreign Relations Hugo Tolentino Dipp, First Lady Rosa de Mejía, the ambassador coordinator of international summits Jesús María Hernández and the deputy director of the National Planning Office, Ranulfo Rodríguez. The summit will be held in Santo Domingo in 2001.
