Contradiction that needs correcting

The Dominican traffic law bans the consumption of alcohol by persons driving a vehicle. Judge Natividad Santos, of the transit court of the Metropolitan Transport Authority (AMET) pointed out the contradiction with the law and the sale of alcoholic beverages at gasoline stations nationwide. She urged the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to ban these sales by the shops that are usually open 24 hours. She expresses her concern now that the Christmas holidays are here, urging that beer, rum, wine and other beverages not be sold at these points.
