The president of the Asociación Nacional de Importadores y Distribuidores de Gas Propano, Arturo Santana denounced that government officers want to keep what he called the chaotic state of purchasing fuel at three prices and selling for four. The president of the importers and distributors of propane gas says these days should be in the past, given that new rules of the game have been established by the Petroleum Law that recently was passed. He said the law establishes a single price for the purchase and sale of the product, and that all market participants will be treated equally. In an interview with the Listín Diario, he contests the privileges of the Refinería Dominicana de Petróleo (a DR government and Shell partnership), such as being able to source dollars at the official rate from the Central Bank.
