Power administrator blames distributors for blackouts

The administrator of the Dominican Electricity Corporation, CDE, César Sánchez, says in a report in El Siglo newspaper that the delays on behalf of power distributors in making the contract stipulated investments to improve power substations is one of the main reasons the country is experiencing blackouts. He said the power substations are not able to handle the power load that is causing breakdowns in several of the circuits.
