The Dominican Republic lost its first two matches in the Caribbean Baseball Championship, and won its third. The Aguilas Cibaeñas, representing the DR, lost to Puerto Rico 7-4 and to Venezuela 11-1. On Sunday, the Dominican team achieved its first victory, defeating Mexico 4-2. The standing of the Series so far shows a tie between Puerto Rico and Venezuela (two wins, 1 loss) and Mexico and the DR (one win, 2 losses).
