The number of Dominicans gambling away their monthly wages has increased to such levels, that the Executive Branch decreed yesterday that betting win days will be limited to Wednesdays and Sundays. This affects lottery and any other type of chance games. Decree 323-01 seeks to counteract the proliferation of gaming businesses in the country.
