The government will plant 3,000 coconut trees, 500 sea grape trees and 300 palm trees on the Autopista Seis de Noviembre (San Cristobal highway) and the Autopista 30 de Mayo (Parque Litoral del Sur). Francisco Guillermo Garcia, director of the Direccion de Embellecimiento (Beautification Department) said the project will be done together with the Fundacion Ecologia y Desarrollo. The trees will be planted from the Metaldom plant to Km. 12 in Haina. (15 May 2001)
